On July 2, we saw our first Alaska Grizzly bear at Starrigavin Estuary in Sitka! Two little cubs followed behind as mom strolled along chewing on grass; she even stood up to scope out the scene a few times which made her seem much more threatening. The boardwalks were closed due to the bears' presence.
