{1.} eat chocolate (Dove Dark Choc, and Toblerone. yum)
{2.} Watch all the "chick flicks" I want. Last night: Made of Honor. Tonight: The Kite Runner. (It was excellent, btw . . . not quite as riveting as the book). And tomorrow night: Becoming Jane.
{3.} Make some progress on personal goals, such as:
~Minimum 20 push-ups daily.
~Read my photography lesson on "Exposure" (the tricky subject)
among a couple of other randoms.
:)
:)
BTW- does anyone else think that the Dove "Promises" nowadays have become more stale?
They used to be more inspirational.

I think you nailed it - that's about what I'd do. :)
And I need to pull that Kite Runner book off the shelf. I bought it ages ago and never did read it. It's good, huh?
Hi Sharyn!
Yes, it's been pretty relaxing. Can't have too many days like this cuz then you start to not appreciate them.
Yes, The Kite Runner is a great book. Took me awhile to get into it and then it was hard to put down.
Thanks for your comment! You're from Detroit, right?
uh, nowadays I think I would sketch. And sort through "my closet" which holds my arts and crafts stuff. And go exercise somewhere. It would be really fun to go to a local concert with a girl friend. Any volunteers? (to take my kids and hubby off my hands, I mean : )
I would sit down and read a really good book without any interruptions, and then I would pull out my scrapbooking stuff and get caught up on both of my kids books.
Dove chocolates remind me of you everytime!! Glad to see you're still enjoying them :)
Hmmm, "me" time... probably a little scrapbooking, cooking, and some organization of my lfie
1) Dark chocolate!!
2) Chick flicks and hot chocolate!
3) Sleep in the middle of the bed... all night long! :)
First I'd straighten up, so I could enjoy it the whole time...rather than approximately 2 minutes. Then...Dove Chocolates, a good book, some exercise, a good movie, some coffee or tea...yum. Sounds great.
Aww I am laughing-- Yes I love "sleeping in the middle of the bed" one, Brianna.
except I have not been !?!?! Last chance today.
Best of luck all getting your "me" time. :)
I'd do the same! But, make that milk chocolate, please!
I'd also start organizing my life. I still have boxes and boxes of stuff to purge and sort through around here. It just never seems to get done with everyone else around!
Hmmm... I guess I would probably first go on a cleaning rampage to organize the stuff that just never seems to get accomplished with little ones around. Then, I'd enjoy. I'd drink coffee at ten p.m., I'd sleep as late as I wanted, I'd scrapbook, sew, go for a walk, read, write... Ah, the list could go on and on. Now I'm dreaming of a free day... : )
Hey, not fair. ..to post chocolates when I don't have any in the house. lol. But actually my Mom in law just snatched the 3 eldest for the night. So here's what I'm doing...I snuggled in peace w/ my sleeping baby on the couch, now I'm catching up on blog reading, and when Dan gets home, I just might have to go on a date to this Mexican restaraunt here w/ THE BEST chocolate cake ever. :) To your last question...No, I don't have a blog, but often consider it, since I enjoy them so much.
I'm late on this one! For me it's clean the house so I can relax, Dance Dance on Wii (or more accurately for me: Stomp Stomp) for some exercise, shower, chick flick and milk choc. Doves, or Hershey Bliss, and bed in the middle! However, as dark chocolate goes, Dove knows how to make it- yum!
Man, it must be this time of year or what?! I was totally enjoying my Doves the other day. And I know Anna K. was too. :) And I agree that their messages are just lame nowadays.
A day off for me would probably consist of not having to get up in the middle of the night to pee, sleep late, have a totally carb loaded breakfast, eat what I want all day long (i.e. Cherry Coke, waffles with syrup, ice cream ahh yum!) Umm. Then probably a book that you just know is going to be super good. A walk outside, going to a coffee shop (even though I don't drink it) maybe a thrift shop or two. A haircut. Hmm, better make my day a long one! :)
A day to myself? I guess I forget to phrase it that way! :)
After thinning out or finding places for everything... I would bake or go to the bookstore in search of a good book & a nice latte. Then come home, get the dog and go for a walk... Reserving time for a nice afternoon nap, before finding people with whom to spend the evening.
I love everyone's "days alone" :) Reading them makes me feel like I am on vacation. I have to say, definitely like time alone, but without fun ladies like you to share ideas with, life would be no fun.! thanks all for sharing.
Joan, are you having to count carbs. ? I am dietitian and I would have a hard time with that. I love my carbs. Yay for chocolate, coffee, and fab women like yourselves. :)
